About The Position

As a Security Guard Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support residents, staff, and visitors with strong communication and customer service while using teamwork and integrity to deliver dependable service in a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access when required, and help to deter unauthorized persons from entering restricted or resident-only areas.
  • Support a respectful environment within the shelter location by observing resident and visitor interactions, communicating professionally, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
