About The Position

As a Security Guard Patrol Associate in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within an educational and public-facing location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, common areas, entrances, exits, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor visitor, student, staff, and vendor access points, verifying credentials and/or permissions while assisting with directions, questions, and general site information.
• Support opening and closing activities, observe exhibits and restricted areas for security-related concerns, and report maintenance, access control, and/or environmental issues to the appropriate personnel.
