As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor alarm panels, and respond to concerns with professionalism. You will support tenants, visitors, and property staff through exceptional customer service and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate information while maintaining professional communication with tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
