Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report potential hazards, maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with directing visitors and providing information while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic public-facing environment.
