About The Position

As a Security Guard - Museum in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a respected cultural location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and support orderly entry and exit during services, events, and/or visiting hours.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate professionally with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
