About The Position

The Security Guard Manager supports the safety and security of a student housing community by supervising the security guard on duty and helping maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and guests. The role includes property patrols, monitoring access and security systems, responding to incidents, documenting activity, and communicating with property management and local authorities as needed. The position reports to the Community Manager and is part-time, at $45 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the security guard on duty.
• Ensure reports and inspections are completed and sent to the Community Manager.
• Patrol the property regularly to deter unauthorized activity and ensure resident safety.
• Monitor building access, cameras, and security systems.
• Enforce community policies and report violations as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, and resident requests for assistance.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and visitors.
• Communicate effectively with property management and local authorities when necessary.
