About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Attendant in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access and badge activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and check-out processes, issuing temporary credentials, and directing guests according to site protocols.
  • Answer phones, greet arriving personnel, support lobby operations, and document incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual activity in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the reception area by following post orders, communicating with site contacts, and helping to deter unauthorized access through consistent front desk presence.
