Security Guard Lead Shift 1
About The Position
Monitors plant activity, including hourly rounds to check trailer temps, room temps, and gates. Monitors all associates entering and exiting the building, including car traffic. Responsible for answering the switchboard after hours and billing loads. Follows and implements company policies. May operate company-owned vehicles and inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability upon entry to the facility. Receives shipments of supplies and raw materials. Fills in the Security Department as needed and will cover for the Security Supervisor in their absence. This position will generally work 2nd or 3rd Shift, but will work some 1st shift as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather and up/down stairs
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
- Attention to detail
- Professional attitude at all times
- Ability to work any shift
- Minimum High School diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual a plus
- Strong computer skills preferred
- Security experience a plus
