Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, patient care areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and directions while maintaining a courteous and professional presence.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
