Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication, document observations, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Requirements

  • This position is at a hospital site where vaccines are present.
  • This position is at a hospital site with a morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • This position is at a hospital site where you may be required to restrain individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, while helping to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical-related calls for assistance, and/or access concerns, and communicate updates to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and help to maintain orderly movement in waiting areas and other public spaces according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate observations and/or follow-up needs to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
