As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will complete regular patrols throughout the location, maintain a strong presence, and respond to incidents with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to cover wider areas and support timely checks. An active armed guard card/license is required, and you will always act with integrity while supporting a caring team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and/or staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access as directed by post orders, including monitoring entry points, observing visitor flow, and assisting with wayfinding and general questions.
  • Document and report security-related observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns using required logs and/or reporting tools, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
