Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to transit agency clients, employees, passengers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and coordinate dispatch communications, receive calls for service, document incidents, and relay timely information to field personnel and appropriate stakeholders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established communication and escalation protocols.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and other required records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned facilities, transit locations, and perimeter areas as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
