About The Position

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925. CGL prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians, primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, CGL's services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement, and identification services. We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team for an existing vacancy. Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Diploma
Ontario Security Guard License
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
Ability to work outside in changing weather conditions
Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently)
Excellent customer service and reception skills
The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential
Highly reliable
Work well under pressure
Able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask
Professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times

Nice To Haves

Ability to speak French is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Patrol Port Dover Beach ensuring compliance with beach rules and regulations
Maintain assigned patrol beat as per schedule, or as requested by the client
Interactions with beach goers to provide education on safety inside and outside of the water
Reporting to OPP of suspected illegal activity
Maintain a high level of standards with regards to personal appearance, hygiene, and deportment
Provide assistance to residents, visitors, employees, clients, etc.
Complete daily logs and written reports as necessary
Perform other duties as requested by client, supervisor, or regional manager
