About The Position

As a Security Guard Badge Verification Driver in Georgetown, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, monitoring activity, and providing professional customer service. You will use communication and technology to support security-related operations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a food and beverage production location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and following established entry and exit procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain accurate access-control logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
