As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests with calm, professional communication. This role requires an armed guard card/license and offers a people-first culture where agile, reliable, innovative teams work together and act with integrity while delivering outstanding service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Have 6 Months+ Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help identify suspicious activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and local emergency responders as needed.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification, managing visitor processes, and/or directing individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site protocols.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and security-related observations, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
