You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols on foot and/or by bike, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to issues with clear communication and outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Have a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an associates degree OR 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required by post orders, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or public law enforcement as directed by post orders.
  • Complete required reports such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
