As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will engage shoppers and store teams with strong customer service and clear communication, respond to concerns, and document observations. Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, store teams, and management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, back-of-house corridors, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, alarms, and reports of theft or property damage.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and restricted spaces; screen for unauthorized entry; and coordinate with site contacts and law enforcement when escalation is needed.
• Prepare clear, timely documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs, and support video review and evidence preservation when requested.
