As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate calmly and professionally with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering strong customer service. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license, supported by Allied Universal values of integrity, teamwork, agility, and care.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 or more years of security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing people away from restricted areas, and/or coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
• Monitor and report security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or equipment alarms, and complete accurate documentation including incident reports and shift logs.
• Support access control and visitor management activities as assigned, including verifying credentials, providing directions, and/or helping maintain orderly movement near entrances, waiting areas, and parking areas.
