Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and suspicious activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, customers, and local responders as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial services location.
• Carry a firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws, while maintaining a professional presence that may help to deter unwanted activity.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of lobbies, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, monitoring for unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and activity documentation, and communicate observations and/or policy violations to supervisors and client representatives.
