As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document activities, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and support site operations through teamwork. Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree and/or 60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton Certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help to control access in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public sector partners as needed.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, document unusual activity, and preserve observations and evidence for follow-up in line with Allied Universal requirements and site procedures.
