As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security experience.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks, ATM areas, parking areas, and employee-only spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification, controlling access to restricted areas, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and law enforcement as needed.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations during shift transitions, and assist with security-related investigations when requested.
