About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Credit Union Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access control activity as needed. You will support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication and professional presence while documenting observations and escalating concerns. Requirements

Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of lobbies, ATM areas, parking lots, perimeter, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting dispatch and/or local emergency resources as required.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification, observing for suspicious activity, and assisting with crowd control during peak traffic periods.
Complete timely incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
