About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Route in Laurinburg, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor and control access points, verifying identification and authorization of individuals entering and exiting the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
• Remain alert to potential security-related threats and communicate concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
• Adhere to all company and client policies, including the proper handling and carrying of firearms as required for armed positions.
