As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm professionalism. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. You will build trust through strong communication and customer service while living our agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations on a regular and random basis to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and local public services as needed.
  • Control access points by monitoring entries and exits, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and follow post orders related to armed duties and equipment.
