As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to issues with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with customer service, clear reporting, and teamwork aligned with Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or license.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, hazards, and/or policy concerns; report findings per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using verbal de-escalation techniques and coordinating with clinical teams and/or local responders as needed.
• Control access at designated points by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring ingress and egress, and assisting with visitor management and direction-finding.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, preserve observations and evidence when required, and handle assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with licensing requirements, training, and site policies.
