Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This post requires an armed guard card or license and calls for professionalism, integrity, and teamwork as you support a reliable, caring, and innovative environment.

Requirements

• Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• Be at least 21+ Years of Age.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and the public at a government transportation location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or criminal activity using detailed written reports and radio communication.
• Support access control and screening as assigned, verify credentials and/or authorization, and maintain required equipment and firearm handling standards in accordance with applicable laws and site requirements.
