As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Operations in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
Maintain required reports and activity logs, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal, client, and applicable legal requirements.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
