Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a critical technology infrastructure location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, data hall access points, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor visitor, contractor, and delivery activity; verify authorization and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and access-related documentation.
  • Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including authorized firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal, client, and applicable legal requirements.
