Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post. You will interact with the public, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate with team members, all while upholding the Allied Universal values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. What You'll Do: Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas as required to support security-related operations. Assist with emergency response activities, including coordination with local authorities when appropriate. Complete incident reports and document observations as needed for security-related events. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within the government location. Minimum Requirements: Proof of high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
