As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Patrol Government in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a visible presence while delivering outstanding customer service and communication.   • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related incidents according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence as an armed security professional to help to deter potential threats and/or disruptions.
  • Work closely with local authorities and Allied Universal management as needed during emergencies or security-related events.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by the site.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and information while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Handle access control duties, verifying credentials and/or authorization for entry as required at the location.
  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
