Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor the premises for suspicious behavior and/or activities, and report findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as directed by Allied Universal protocols.
Follow all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations while performing duties as an armed security professional.
