Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access, promptly reporting any findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to the public and clients at the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, addressing questions and/or concerns as needed.
Complete detailed reports and documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or requests for assistance, utilizing training and resources provided by Allied Universal.
