As a Security Guard - Access Screening in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor management. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong customer service to help deter security-related incidents while delivering clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and manage visitor and employee access in support of site security-related policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant activity and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
