About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Woodway, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related protocols at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, and key operational spaces.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicate with site contacts as needed, and document security-related events according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the building perimeter, parking areas, and operational spaces, while observing for maintenance concerns, access issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during shift changes and deliveries, and report hazards, damaged barriers, and/or malfunctioning access points to the appropriate personnel.
