About The Position

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in support of site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and support security-related procedures involving deliveries, inspections, and controlled access areas.
