About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across industries such as healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role provides hands-on experience across diverse work environments and opportunities to build skills and pursue advancement within the company.

The position involves 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The role is based across multiple sites in Spokane Valley, Washington, and includes mobile patrol duties.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
