Security Flex Officer Part Time Bike Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Flex Officer for bicycle patrol in Cary, North Carolina, supporting a public school environment. The officer conducts bicycle and vehicle patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assists students, staff, and visitors professionally. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The position is scheduled Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.06 per hour. Officers can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for this driving position.
- Must be able to ride a bike.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while following site-specific procedures and security policies at an educational campus.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and document incidents using required procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence and communicate observations to appropriate school personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
