About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Fort Worth, Texas. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site through designated weekly anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, creating opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week while retaining the option to scale back. The role pays $18.55 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Possession of a guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, and document incidents, observations, and shift activity in required reports.
