About The Position

The Security & Facility Officer is responsible for maintaining a secure and efficient working environment for employees, customers, and the organization as a whole. This role oversees vendor services throughout the enterprise to ensure the physical environment is well-maintained and operational. The Officer supports the manager by providing assistance in other areas as needed and responds to inquiries from both external and internal customers.

Requirements

  • Interact effectively to defuse situations and provide assistance.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety and security policies, procedures, rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Complete daily reports, activity logs, write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several on concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and analyzing problems logically and comprehensively, distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information.
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential matters in a tactful and discreet manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to interface with a variety of management levels.
  • Good consultative and/or meeting facilitation of skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods, practices, procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper security and safety procedures/occupational hazards associated with construction, maintenance, repair of buildings, and grounds keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate/review vendor safety guidelines prior to any mobilization of projects.
  • Attend meetings/conferences and coordinate building/grounds activities with various departments, contractors, consultants, vendors, and engineering staff.
  • Interact in a sensitive, courteous, and understanding way with all employees of the Bank’s diverse academic community utilizing tact and diplomacy when necessary.
  • Proactively role model bank brand personalities and build meaningful connections with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Maintain a professional and identifiable appearance on Bank by always wearing the required dress attire.
  • Represent/participate in Bank sponsored events and community outreach programs.
  • Contribute by ensuring goals and objectives for the department are met accordingly.
  • Prioritize/complete work assignments; maintain the flow/quality of work; in accordance with overall priorities.
  • Prepare/maintain records/reports including preventative maintenance records, daily work order activity, and equipment/supply inventories; ensure adequate inventory of materials/supplies on hand to complete work assignments as planned/scheduled.
  • Support the Bank’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Assist with gathering specifications/prepare documents for contracted projects; monitor/supervise the performance, cost, and quality of maintenance/construction work performed by outside contractors; prepare progress reports, specifications, change orders, and evaluate compliance with contract specifications.
  • Perform related or miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency telephone calls by obtaining, evaluating, prioritizing, and disseminating information to appropriate personnel and authorities, including calls received by G4S regarding alarm activations for Guam Branches/locations.
  • Attend training programs, conference meetings, and staff meetings as directed by the Manager.
  • Assist the Department Manager with advising the Bank’s Senior Management and Bank personnel of emerging safety and security issues; consult and guide the Bank in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate the selecting, maintaining, and testing of appropriate intrusion devices, alarms, and cameras that record activity within the bank’s premises.
  • Complete all bank mandated training.
