About The Position

Fluidstack is hiring a Security Engineer, Offensive Security, to build its offensive security program from the ground up as the company develops and operates large-scale AI compute infrastructure. The role owns the program’s methodology, tooling, and engagement cadence, and conducts red and purple team operations that emulate advanced threat actors across cloud infrastructure, endpoints, and bare-metal deployments. The engineer will test critical systems such as tenant isolation, bare-metal GPU hosts, firmware and BMCs, and data center operational technology. The role also partners with security and engineering teams on AI-specific attack scenarios, contributes to AI-assisted offensive testing tools and workflows, and communicates findings as actionable risks for technical and executive audiences. The company describes the work as operating on the bleeding edge of AI-enabled offensive operations.

Requirements

  • Years of hands-on experience in red teaming and offensive security operations.
  • Deep expertise in at least two of macOS, Linux, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience finding novel attack paths and chaining vulnerabilities into full compromise.
  • Experience running adversary simulations against well-defended environments.
  • Ability to write quality code in Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Ability to write findings that lead to remediation and help teams prioritize risk.
  • Experience working closely with blue teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with state-nexus threat models, such as frontier AI, government, or critical infrastructure.
  • Experience testing AI and ML systems, including agentic workflows and model serving.
  • Defensive experience in detection engineering, SIEM, or EDR.
  • Experience with hardware and data center attacks, including firmware, BMC, and OT/ICS.
  • Interest in AI safety and security.

Responsibilities

  • Build Fluidstack’s offensive security program, including its methodology, tooling, and engagement cadence.
  • Run red and purple team operations that emulate advanced threat actors across cloud infrastructure, endpoints, and bare-metal deployments.
  • Penetration test critical systems, including tenant isolation, bare-metal GPU hosts, firmware and BMCs, and data center OT.
  • Partner with security and engineering teams on AI-specific attack scenarios, including agentic systems and other novel AI-enabled risks.
  • Contribute to AI-assisted offensive testing tools and workflows.
  • Present findings to technical and executive audiences as clear, actionable risks that shape the security roadmap.
  • Stay at the bleeding edge of AI-enabled offensive operations inside and outside Fluidstack’s environments.
