Associate Offensive Security Engineer

Satine Technologies•Roswell, GA
•$60,000 - $72,000

About The Position

Satine Technologies is hiring an Associate Offensive Security Engineer in Atlanta. The role splits time between software engineering on a federal healthcare platform and learning to deliver penetration tests and incident response alongside senior operators. Approximately half of the time is devoted to platform and security engineering, with the other half focused on offensive security and incident response as the employee develops. The position begins as a term role, with a path to permanent employment. Conversion depends on performance and growth in offensive security skills; the initial term length depends on business needs, and conversion will be reviewed regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field; 2026 graduates are welcome.
  • Working ability in at least one programming language, such as JavaScript or TypeScript, or a similar language, plus comfort with SQL and Linux.
  • Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common enterprise services.
  • Clear writing skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to pass a background check for federal work.

  • Exposure to Active Directory, Burp Suite, Nmap, or a C2 framework.
  • Experience with Kafka, Docker, or cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features on a microservices platform backed by Node.js, MySQL, and Apache Kafka.
  • Support penetration tests across external, internal, and web application scopes, including reconnaissance, enumeration, exploitation, and evidence capture.
  • Assist with incident response engagements, including log and artifact collection, timeline building, and forensic triage.
  • Write findings that distinguish what was confirmed from what was inferred and provide reproducible evidence.
  • Build tooling and automation to make testing faster, more repeatable, and more realistic.
  • Work toward the OSCP in the first year.

Benefits

  • Training and certification reimbursement program.
  • Satine pays 95% of eligible employee health insurance premiums.
  • 401(k) with a match up to 4%.
