About The Position

This role involves leading, monitoring, and reporting on security services engagements at key Cisco customers, interacting with customer technical and management personnel. The engineer will deliver security solutions independently or by leading a team, and will be responsible for designing, documenting, validating, piloting, deploying, and automating Cisco Security Solutions. Continuous support services will be provided to help customers realize more value from deployed solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise on Cisco security technologies, with the ability to understand and communicate the architectural context and the big picture security solution. The engineer will evaluate and present alternative designs, effectively influencing outcomes, and will troubleshoot, identify root causes, and help customers recover from technical and security issues. Participation and support in worldwide collaboration within the security practice and cross-functionally with other Cisco groups is expected. The role also involves supporting the creation and adherence to standards, templates, methodologies, best practices, and delivery frameworks. Additionally, the engineer will build trusted advisor relationships with customers and identify future engagement opportunities, and assist in the development of customer proposals and statements of work by providing scope and effort information to Account Teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT consulting, and systems integration, with large enterprise entities.
  • Deep technical experience as a subject matter expert in Cisco Secure Firewall / ASA security technologies and experience in building and maintaining enterprise firewall deployments, in both cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Deep technical experience as a subject matter expert in VPN technologies and experience in building and maintaining enterprise VPN deployments, both on-prem and in the cloud, and with the Cisco AnyConnect and Secure Client products.
  • Technical experience with Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Secure Access, and other SASE solutions.
  • Solid technical knowledge in Cisco ISE and TrustSec, with hands-on experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security, Network Visibility, and Zero Trust Segmentation solutions.
  • Ability to deliver automation artifacts using common automation frameworks, programming languages, Generative AI systems and Cisco APIs.
  • Experience with preparing, planning, designing, implementing, optimizing, automating, and operating network security solutions
  • Strong understanding of secure design principles such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, adaptability, scalability, dependability, and modularity
  • Detailed understanding of TCP/IP protocols
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with technical staff and executives
  • Bachelor of Science, or equivalent

  • Expertise in multiple Cisco Security on-premises and cloud-based technologies, including SNA, Secure Workload, Secure Endpoint, DUO, and Cisco XDR.
  • Experience with a wide range of infrastructure technologies such as routing and switching, infrastructure applications, voice, content networking, wireless, Software Defined Access and Software Defined WAN.
  • Desired certifications: DevNet Associate, CCIE Security, relevant industry certifications (CISSP, SANS GIAC, NSA IAM)
