About The Position

As a Security Consultant at Tenax Solutions, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, coordinating and delivering security services effectively and on time. This role bridges technical and administrative functions, helping clients understand and prioritize actions to strengthen their overall security posture. The Security Consultant acts as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication, coordination, and timely delivery of client services. Success in this role requires knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, security frameworks, and risk management, along with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Most importantly, this role is focused on client success and building long-term relationships by serving as a trusted security advisor and providing clear, actionable guidance.

Requirements

  • College Credits in an IT-related major.
  • Experience in IT to include governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), networking, web applications, and cloud platforms.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTP’s).

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA Pentest+ or CompTIA Security+; CISSP or CISM

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery and consultation of Tenax Solutions products and services. This includes the ability to interpret, understand, and effectively communicate assessment results, reports, and audit recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of a client’s organization, from executive administration to individual employees.
  • Assist in performing GRC readiness examinations based on applicable industry standards, including PCI DSS, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, HIPAA, SOC 2, FFIEC, CMMC, and other relevant frameworks. This includes the ability to clarify examination questions, provide relevant examples and context, and effectively guide clients toward accurate and complete responses.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and security configurations to effectively assess and audit cloud security settings and clearly explain findings and results to clients in a way that is understandable and actionable.
  • Assist clients in prioritizing, tracking, and remediating identified vulnerabilities, including providing guidance and support throughout the vulnerability remediation process.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of how to interpret, quantify, and track risk associated with identified security gaps to support effective prioritization and remediation efforts.
  • Assist with general operational and administrative tasks, including installing operating systems on devices, preparing and shipping laptops, maintaining equipment, and communicating with customers as needed.
