About The Position
This full-time position serves as a Maryland Approved Security Attendant Officer. The role involves implementing crime scene procedures, evidence retention, and completing comprehensive investigative reports. The position will liaise with STIU Maryland Certified Police Officers/Supervisors and the Maryland State Police.
Requirements
- High School diploma or high school equivalency certificate acceptable to the Maryland State Board of Education
- One year of experience providing security to patients, or inmates or youths committed by courts to psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities or juvenile detention centers
- U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien status
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- A completed background investigation
- Oral interview
- Physical examination
- Provide the facility with a telephone number where they can be reached
- Subject to substance abuse testing
Nice To Haves
- Experience with written and oral communications
- Experience in preserving order while enforcing program regulations and directives to patients and visitors
- Experience providing crisis intervention
