About The Position

The Hilton Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention and Security Officer to join their dynamic team. This role is integral in creating a safe and comfortable environment for guests and associates, detecting suspicious behavior, preventing vandalism, thefts, or other unlawful behavior, and deescalating conflict. The Hilton Milwaukee is undergoing a significant renovation and is connected to the Baird Center, making it the city's largest hotel and a historic gem. The hotel offers 554 guest rooms and over 34,000 square feet of meeting space, with a commitment to innovation, exceptional service, and timeless style.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must work well both independently and with others as a team player and under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of security and law enforcement practices preferred.
• Prior hospitality, guest service and/or security experience preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel, and general public.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises on foot and maintain safety for guests and associates while protecting property and assets.
• Operate a dispatch center with responsibilities for key control, fire alarm monitoring, and closed circuit television monitoring, answering routine and emergency calls for service, and dispatching call for service.
• Perform proactive and professional security, safety, and loss prevention practices.
• Investigate situations and conditions and write reports as necessary.
• Meet, greet, and assist guests and associates as needed in a professional and calm manner.
• Witness cash drops and monitor cameras and perform lost and found functions.
• Transport guests in company vehicles to and from various locations, such as airports, local offices and entertainment venues.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
