About The Position

This role requires an experienced Security Architect with expertise in identity and access control, logging, and reporting systems. The consultant will be responsible for automation development, supporting large IT environments, and ensuring network security protocols are in place. The position involves working with Linux, Windows, and various network security protocols. The selected contractor will need to provide their own equipment, as Lumen and/or its clients will not provide laptops or monitors. Access to a virtual desktop environment will be provided.

Requirements

• Five years of experience and expert understanding of identity and access control, logging, and reporting systems.
• Five years of experience and expertise in automation development using tools such as Python and Bash.
• Five years of experience with Linux, Windows, network security protocols, and procedures.
• Five years of experience in supporting large IT environments and/or system deployments.
• Must have own equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SIEM analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of security frameworks: NIST, CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E.
• Knowledge of application security (AppSec).

Responsibilities

• Ensure network security protocols and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Work with Linux and Windows operating systems in a security context.
