About The Position

This role involves implementing and supporting enterprise security tools, managing large IT environments, and developing automation for security solutions. The consultant will be responsible for various aspects of cybersecurity, including SIEM, XDR, vulnerability management, and endpoint security. Access to necessary systems will be provided via a virtual desktop, but the contractor must supply their own equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Security or related field; 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity may be substituted in lieu of education
• 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise security tools (SIEM, CRIBL, XDR, Vulnerability Management, DLP, Endpoint Security)
• 5+ years of experience supporting large IT environments and/or system deployments
• 5+ years of experience developing automation and integrations using scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Must have own equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• CISSP or Security+ certification
• SIEM administration, analysis, and reporting experience
• Experience building and deploying Linux-based security sensors
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, and CMS MARS-E
• Candidate is local to Columbia, SC or surrounding cities in South Carolina
