About The Position

Radiance Technologies is seeking a mid-level Security Analyst to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) Technical Center by coordinating security activities and helping meet mission and operational requirements. The role works with SMDC Division Chiefs, staff elements, and technical monitors/Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs) to collect and maintain information about SMDC activities, track requests for information and support through resolution, and assist the SMDC Security Manager with compiling information and preparing briefings. Approval from the SMDC Security Manager is required before information is disseminated for briefings. The position provides security support across information, personnel, physical, access control, OPSEC, and COMSEC disciplines. Duties include conducting or assisting with risk assessments and pre-inspections, maintaining documentation and security records, supporting personnel processing and security compliance, and handling classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) material. The primary duty location is the SMDC Technical Center. After-hours support may be required to accommodate mission needs.

Requirements

Two or more years of experience as a Security Manager or Facility Security Officer (FSO).
Experience performing information security, physical security, and personnel security functions.
Experience preparing and reviewing security documentation, processing personnel, and maintaining security records and controls.
Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with SMDC Division Chiefs, staff elements, and technical monitors/Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs) to collect, organize, and maintain information related to SMDC activities.
Track requests for information and support and monitor their status through resolution.
Assist the SMDC Security Manager with compiling information and preparing briefings; obtain the Security Manager’s approval before disseminating briefing information.
Provide security guidance, policy clarification, interpretation, and assistance to Government and contractor personnel across information security, access control, physical security, OPSEC, and COMSEC.
Assist with security risk assessments, pre-inspections, and analysis of key performance metrics; document findings and prepare written reports for the SMDC Security Manager.
Develop, review, and maintain security documentation, databases, spreadsheets, and other security records.
Support personnel in-processing and out-processing, Staff Assistance Visits, and the preparation and review of security-related documents and briefings for appropriate classification markings.
Provide COMSEC support, assist with destruction of classified and CUI material, and process incoming and outgoing classified material.
Serve as a security monitor, complete required annual training, and support applicable security compliance activities.
Support preliminary security investigations and other security-related activities as required.
Attend meetings, coordinate with mission stakeholders, and provide additional security support to meet operational requirements.
