About The Position

The Security Analyst - Project Lead will be responsible for expert-level security analysis, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security incident response. This role requires significant experience with IRS Safeguard Reviews, the IRS Safeguard Computer Security Evaluation Matrix (SCSEM), and IRS Pub 1075. The selected contractor must provide their own equipment, as Lumen and/or its clients will not provide laptops or monitors. Access to a virtual desktop will be provided by Lumen’s client.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience performing expert-level security analysis, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security incident response.
• 3+ years of experience preparing for and participating in IRS Safeguard Reviews in collaboration with a state agency.
• 3+ years of experience with the IRS Safeguard Computer Security Evaluation Matrix (SCSEM) including implementation, compliance assessment, and documentation.
• 3+ years of experience with IRS Pub 1075 (Rev. 11-2021).
• Must have own equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Child Support Enforcement Program.
• Experience with Federal or State Regulatory Compliance such as FISMA, NIST, or IRS Publication 1075.
• Experience with technical documentation and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Performing expert-level security analysis, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security incident response.
• Preparing for and participating in IRS Safeguard Reviews in collaboration with a state agency.
• Implementing, assessing compliance with, and documenting the IRS Safeguard Computer Security Evaluation Matrix (SCSEM).
• Ensuring compliance with IRS Pub 1075.
