About The Position

The ideal junior level candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interface with customers at all levels. The candidate should be effective at organizing and prioritizing customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong communications skills are expected, to include excellent writing, speaking, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter and capable of working with a limited level of supervision and guidance, be committed to continuous learning and professional development, and work well as a member of cross-functional teams. To succeed in this position, you must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: Secret
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in data entry or database management and media control
  • Experience with Microsoft products

Nice To Haves

  • Degree major in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study.
  • Experience in Personnel Security.
  • Experience using eSecurity, JADE, Access Commander, SIMS and DISS
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with any of the following: NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, and ICD 705.
  • At least 4 years of National Security experience preferred; administrative and office management background skills.
  • Related training with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) including Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC )

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees related to personnel security questions and actions.
  • Work in a fast-paced schedule driven program with management oversite.
  • Administering the security procedures (NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, and JSIG), as they relate to operating in a classified environment for: personnel processing, media control, marking and control of documents / materials, security education, visitor control, and destruction of classified.
  • Support specialized procedures for the transmission of classified and/or proprietary material/information.
  • Conduct and/or participate in internal reviews and/or Government inspections.
  • Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports specifying the potential for loss or compromise and the associated risk to the program(s).
  • Maintain personnel records and conduct data entry.
  • Role may involve working extended hours, due to fast-paced, deadline-driven office environment.
